Bull’s Cygnus offers maximum protection to Battersea Power Station

  • 12 Mar 2019

Bull Products has confirmed the largest installation of its Cygnus Wireless Alarm System to date, with more than 460 alarm units installed at the Battersea Power Station, protecting 3,000 workers on site.

This is the highest number of units to be installed on one project since the inception of the Cygnus alarm system.

Set for completion in 2020, the iconic Grade II listed building and surrounding area is being brought back to life as one of the most exciting and innovative mixed-use neighbourhoods in the world – a place for locals, tourists and residents to enjoy a unique blend of restaurants, shops, parks and cultural spaces.

Bradley Markham, director at Bull Products, commented: “We’re thrilled that our alarm system has proved its capabilities on this project. This is testament to the strength of Cygnus and its ability to adapt even further as the project progresses.

“As the project develops, the Cygnus alarm system will grow with it, offering enhanced safety and heightened protection to protect all eight phases of the project.”

Intended for use on construction sites, the Cygnus Wireless Alarm System has been specifically designed for use in dense concrete and steel structured buildings, plus areas where there are many other radio frequencies in operation, for which particular attention has to been given to achieving an impressive connection range.

Where there are multiple sites within range of each other, the Cygnus system has been designed to operate on different site addresses in order to keep each system separate and free from interference.
