The new, £1 billion Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a truly world class stadium, in every way. This extends to accessibility, courtesy of Closomat.
The new venue, heralded as a benchmark in global stadium design, is the latest to be built fully compliant with Accessible Stadia guidelines.
As such, it features two Changing Places toilet facilities, both supplied by market leader Closomat.
The Changing Places toilets deliver appropriate space (12 square metres), plus an adult-sized height adjustable changing bench, height-adjustable washbasin, and full room coverage ceiling track hoist alongside a conventional, peninsular WC.
The Changing Places mean anyone who requires extra help, space and/or equipment to go to the toilet can relax and enjoy their time at the Stadium, knowing there are suitable toilet facilities, whatever they are watching (the stadium will also be home to Rugby Union and American Football matches).
Kelvin Grimes, Closomat away from home project manager, commented: “It is fitting that a world-leading stadium should be as accessible as possible. We are glad to have been part of the team to deliver such a landmark venue.
Claire Haymes, Closomat CDM Compliance & Project Co-Ordinator, added: “Tottenham Hotspur Stadium demonstrates accessibility and stunning design can go hand in hand.
“It is great to see another Premier League club acknowledge their disabled fans, and facilitate their participation.”
Closomat has been involved with the Changing Places campaign almost from the outset, and was the original campaign sponsor.
It has supplied and installed hundreds of Changing Places over the past decade, as both new build and refurbishments.
Uniquely, it can not only supply and install, but, in-house, provide post-installation service & maintenance.
