Newton Waterproofing Systems has been named ‘Business of the Year 2019’ at the Kent Chamber Business Awards in recognition of its hard work, expertise and innovation that goes into developing its waterproofing and damp proofing solutions.
Celebrating their 13th year, the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce Business Awards recognise and reward business excellence in Kent and Medway.
Newton is the largest independent UK supplier of waterproofing and damp proofing products. The company has worked hard to achieve commercial success, continually growing and innovating, with clear plans for growth and commitment to local communities, staff and the environment.
In recent years, Newton has focused on its sustainability initiatives and in 2017 introduced its closed-loop recycling scheme, the Newton Membrane Recycling Service.
In addition, the company has also been shortlisted for three more prestigious construction awards so far in 2019, including the ‘Best Innovation’ category at the Construction News Awards, as well as both the ‘Green/Sustainability Award’ and ‘Innovation of the Year’ at the National Building Awards.
Warren Muschialli, Managing Director at Newton Waterproofing comments on the company’s success: “After our successes last year, we are really honoured to have been awarded ‘Business of the Year’ at the 2019 Kent Chamber of Commerce Awards, and to be finalists for three more prestigious awards. The Newton team are incredibly proud of the work we have achieved, but to be formally acknowledged for our innovation and commercial success, alongside our commitment to the environment and local communities is a real honour.”
