Aspex launches new sliding doors system

  • 2 May 2019

Aspex, one of the UK’s leading architectural ironmongery and doorset companies, has expanded its Novista range with a new sliding doors system.

The Novista Pocket Sliding Doors system opens into the wall cavity to save space, whilst the soft closing mechanism and nylon rollers guarantee the doors close safely and silently.

Providing a completely hidden frame and a minimalistic finish with no unsightly architraves, the system comes in two options; ‘Infinite’ and ‘In Wall’.

With the Infinite system, the bottom of the aluminium top hanging track is mounted flush with the ceiling, which can then run uninterrupted from room to room, allowing one large space to be created when the door is open.

With the Wall system, the top hanging track is mounted within the wall above the door and the plasterboard profile ensures it is completely hidden.

The Novista Pocket Sliding Doors system is available with telescopic doors for installation where there is either not enough adjacent wall space for the full width single door or where both double doors are required to open into one wall. It is also available with a glass door leaf.

Ashley Burberry, MD at Aspex, commented: “We developed the Novista Pocket Sliding Doors to offer a simplistic solution to architects and specifiers.

“We understand that the market and design trends are constantly changing – therefore we wanted to create a door solution that would provide a bespoke and contemporary solution that would match any surrounding, whether it’s hotels or residential apartments.

“The range has already been installed in The Makers apartment development in Shoreditch which has been hugely successful and we’re looking forward to seeing it take off further in the market.”
