Gilberts expands building services expertise

  • 20 May 2019

Product knowledge enhanced by practical expertise is now available to air movement specialists in the south, courtesy of changes at Gilberts Blackpool.

The company has appointed Mark Gallop as its new Area Sales Manager (South and South East).

Mark, from Camberley, Surrey (pictured above), brings almost 25 years of experience in technical sales of building services components to the role.

Mark’s technical sales expertise is supplemented with a background in practical mechanical engineering, that began with an apprenticeship at the Royal Aircraft Establishment.

Ian Rogers, Gilberts Sales Director, commented: “Mark brings to the table a unique skillset that can only be of benefit to our customers, existing and potential.

“They can benefit from his years of experience dealing with all in the chain, from the designers of the air movement strategy to the contractors implementing it on site, complimented by his own practical experience in installation and maintenance.

“Therefore he can help all achieve best value, by delivering solutions that meet the overall design objective whilst balancing the practicalities and vagaries of installation and use once installed.”

Gilberts is already the UK’s leading independent air movement specialist. Unusually, it develops all its products in-house, from design through tooling to production in its 95,000 square foot Blackpool manufacturing facility.

It is unique in its sector for having, in-house, advanced test facilities, complimented by full CFD software modelling to provide unrivalled validation of in situ ventilation strategies.
