Vince Tansey, Business Development Manager and recent addition to the Newton Waterproofing family, has recently gained the highly desirable CSSW qualification.
This has come from the leading training provider in the UK, the Property Care Association (PCA).
Nationally recognised, the Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing qualification is specific to those individuals who are involved with diagnosing and designing solutions for problems with water entering below ground structures.
Vince received his qualification after attending Newton Waterproofing’s very first CSSW training course, hosted at the company’s head office, in state-of-the-art training facilities.
Working alongside the PCA, Newton hosted 11 waterproofing industry professionals in August for an intensive five-day course that covered the key principals of structural waterproofing, covering Type A, B and C systems in line with BS 8102:2009, waterproofing design and origins of water ingress.
Vince has in excess of 35 years of experience in the waterproofing industry, having previously run his own construction company that specialised in the installation of Newton Waterproofing products.
With his new qualification, Vince becomes one part of a team of 11 CSSW accredited staff at Newton who sit within the Technical and Commercial teams.
Newton’s impressively qualified team also includes two Certificated Surveyors in Remedial Treatments (CSRT) and two Waterproofing Design Specialists (WDS), as well as more than a century’s worth of experience in the waterproofing industry.
