IG Masonry Support has proudly launched the new innovative B.O.S.S.+ system – a BBA approved brick slip soffit system that incorporates a robust mechanical fix.
Passionate about innovation, IG is excited to be first to market in the UK with a mechanically fixed brick slip soffit system, designed to be fitted to a masonry support shelf angle.
For added security, the brick slips on this patent pending product are attached to the stainless steel framework with a mechanical fix. The new system meets Approved Document – Part B, UK building regulations for non-combustible materials for use in the external walls of residential buildings over 18 metres in height as well as in care homes, student accommodation and hospitals.
B.O.S.S.+ is a tailor-made bespoke solution designed and manufactured to meet the clients specification – the new product provides simple onsite installation of complex brick detailing, offering up to a 90% reduction of on-site labour and a 70% weight saving against alternative traditional methods. The product is highly adjustable, enabling architects to design various shapes of brick soffits.
Andy Neal, MD of IG Masonry Support, commented: “Our B.O.S.S.+ system offers a simple and practical solution that enables architects to achieve flawless brick slip soffits in any brick type, at any height.
“IG’s extensive experience in structural products combined with our eagerness to push the boundaries of new designs and service for the customer has resulted in a truly unique product. The launch of this Class ‘A’ fire-rated system is another very exciting milestone for the company.”
IG Masonry Support’s technical team is 100% client focused with a commitment to provide a product that meets the required specification, as well as technical and onsite support that ensures any installation is on spec, on time and on budget.
