EverEdge has been singing the praises of Twitter, amidst these unprecedented times, explaining how it provides a great platform for the company to keep in touch with its customers, along with the wider landscaping and gardening world.
It has also talked about how the social media channel allows garden trends to be followed easily and also gives a way to see what people are doing with its products.
EverEdge describes Twitter as an ‘especially important resource’ at the moment in lockdown, as it ensures the company keeps lines of communication going.
One aspect it has particularly enjoyed has been watching how gardeners are using their time stuck at home to do work on their gardens, adding that whilst sometimes this work has been long in the planning, it is often the case that plans have been hatched as a means of passing the time at home.
EverEdge candidly reflected on one of their favourite customer reviews via Twitter – it was a photo of a newly laid path and, in response to a question about what edging was used… the reply was ‘EverEdge – It’s quite good actually’.
EverEdge has seen a variety of projects take place, from simple garden tidy ups to one lady who posted she was going to knock down her garage to extend her garden.
The gardening specialist listed some of the positives to have come out of this dreadful situation, including a new sense of community; people using village shops; buying their meat and vegetables from the local butcher and grocer; and a new appreciation for the NHS and other key workers.
It hopes that another benefit can be added to the list is that more people are spending time on their gardens, adding that the gardening and landscaping industry is going to need support once things return to something resembling normality and, therefore, a renewed sense of pride in our gardens will be an important factor.
