  • 26 May 2020

The Metal Cladding and Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA) has published a revised edition of its aluminium fabrications guidance document, entitled Aluminium fabrications: A guide to good practice.

The 24-page document provides theoretical and practical guidance in the design and specification of aluminium fabrication, including fasteners and sealants.

The document discusses the principal approaches of the widely used fabrication fixing methodologies of dead fix and floating fix, examines the effects of thermal movement and provides guidance on correct fastener specification.

The guidance document can be downloaded from the MCRMA website
