GGF invited to Government workstreams to help recovery

  • 6 Jul 2020

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) has recently been invited to attend two Government Work Streams for the Housing Working Group and the Repair Maintenance and Improvement Working Group respectively.

Both of these Groups will be attended by Cabinet Ministers and senior Government Officials from the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

The GGF aims to raise the industry’s issues in these discussions and relay in-depth industry knowledge and date to help shape Government policy and initiatives to help the economic recovery following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

John Agnew, GGF Managing Director (pictured), commented: “It is most appropriate for the GGF, as the glass, glazing and fenestration industries’ main trade body, to be included in these discussions with Government.

“Our aim will be to offer as much support and information as we can to help the Government deliver solutions that will enable companies to fully recover from the business lost during the lockdown period.

“The GGF will report any news, progress and outcomes of these Government meetings to our members and the wider industry.”
