Granada Glazing reports secondary glazing trade sales up 28%

  • 25 May 2021

Secondary glazing specialist Granada Glazing reports a 28% rise in trade sales in April 2021 compared to April 2019. This reflects growing consumer confidence and demand for home improvement products as the UK’s economic recovery gathers pace.

Highlighting the ‘really impressive rebound’ following a challenging 2020, the South Yorkshire-based firm attributes its sustained focus on marketing and lead generation activities throughout the pandemic as key to this success.

‘Huge appetite for home improvement products’

Lewis Hartley, Granada’s Marketing Manager, comments: “The marketplace has been incredibly buoyant since the end of the first lockdown.

“There has been a huge appetite for home improvement products at a time when homeowners were largely unable to leave their properties. Secondary glazing has been no exception to this.”

With more time spent at home, Lewis believes people were recognising the need for a quieter and warmer environment. This drove demand for the cost-effective, acoustic and thermally efficient solution achieved by secondary glazing.

Continued investment in marketing throughout the first COVID lockdown ensured the company returned to ‘healthy’ sales leads once it was safe to resume within government guidelines.

Alongside this, an intensive prospecting campaign throughout the south of England coincided with the appointment of a dedicated Southern Area Sales Manager.

Since Gary Wood’s appointment, Granada has experienced ‘particularly impressive’ sales growth within the M25 area. This was new business potential that had previously gone untapped.

The exciting momentum continues with the company set to launch its new redesigned website in the coming weeks.

‘Stronger than ever’

Zoe Grafton, Trade Sales Manager at Granada Secondary Glazing, says: “It’s fantastic to see such a healthy year-on-year sales increase in comparison to 2019.

“It goes without saying that last year was an incredibly testing time for businesses across all sectors, but we have weathered the storm and have come out the other side stronger than ever.

“We’ve got a fantastic sales team in place now across the UK who are offering our trade partners unrivalled levels of support. Our work across the south has seen us well positioned to capitalise on incredibly strong demand within the industry over the past six months in particular.

“With a new product range on the horizon, as well as a new state-of-the-art website, we’re all tremendously excited to see what the future holds.”
