Ahmarra Manufactures Stunning Panel Doors for Kings House Hove Residential Development

  • 4 Oct 2021

Kings House Hove is a prestigious residential development of sixty-nine apartments, situated on Hove seafront. Over 150 years old, the redevelopment incorporates many of this property’s period features and the interior design scheme compliments it. Ahmarra manufactured elegant internal panel doors for the apartments and communal areas, apartment entrance doors, glazed screens and fanlights, which were designed to complement Kings House Hove’s classical architecture.

As such, many of the doors feature ornate moulding profiles and beautiful, authentically aged brass ironmongery. The antique brass door handles, locks and latches were selected to match other fittings within the apartments, such as the light switches, plug sockets and sash window hooks.

Main contractor PMC Construction selected Ahmarra to manufacture these bespoke doors based on the company’s superior craftmanship.

The client chose two main door types from Ahmarra’s Artisan collection

The Blenheim 1A, featuring one large single panel and the Chatsworth 4A, featuring four panels. Some of the Blenheim 1A doors feature glazed panels, which let natural light flow through the apartments.

These pre-hung doorsets are a combination of non fire-rated, and Q-Mark certified FD30 and FD60 fire-rated doors. Manufactured at Ahmarra’s production facility in Hampshire, the doors, frames and screens are made from FSC® certified timber sourced from responsibly managed forests. Doors were supplied with pre-primed paper veneer facings, and then painted on site.
