The shortlist for the category sponsored by the Automatic Door Suppliers Association in the AI Specification Awards 2022 has been revealed.
The Product Design and Innovation Electronic Award (Electronic) attracted a stellar number of entries highlighting products and services that combine traditional architectural ironmongery and electronic/technological solutions.
It is the first year that electronic solutions have been given their own category – reflecting innovation within the industry and the demand for smart systems that can be used remotely or incorporated into wider building management.

The winners of the 40th biennial awards will be announced at a gala lunch, in London on 5 May. They are organised by The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) in conjunction with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
They identify and reward excellence in the specification of architectural ironmongery in the construction industry.
