Domus Ventilation, manufacturer of market-leading ventilation systems that save energy and improve indoor air quality, has announced the arrival of two new Contractor Sales Managers – Leigh Strange and Lewis McLeggan.
The expanded team will be headed by Tom Hemming, who has been promoted to National Sales Manager responsible for contractor and distribution sales.
Leigh Strange is well versed in the ventilation industry, although most recently has been working in the plumbing and heating sector where he has enjoyed several senior roles, including National Specification Manager and General Manager.
He comments: “I feel I have come home to an industry I enjoy and now with more overall general sales and management experience. Domus Ventilation was the perfect company to join – large enough to develop with, but small enough to still have a family feel.”
The role of Contractor Sales Manager is a new one for Leigh, but something that he brings extensive experience to, being able to read plans, advise on products, and communicate at all levels to ensure everyone is kept informed through a project’s entirety.
Lewis McLeggan is a newcomer to ventilation, but certainly not to the built environment where he has been working for the past eight years. Lewis’ roles have predominantly been in Account Management positions, growing key accounts within the London and Home Counties for UK manufacturers selling into the architecture, engineering and construction sectors.
As with Leigh, Lewis was attracted to Domus Ventilation as it is part of the extensive Genuit Group of businesses which serve the construction industry, yet ‘still has the small company feel to it, with the ambitions to be a disrupter in the industry’.
He comments: “Ventilation will be playing an integral part in reaching the Net Zero Carbon Emission goals by 2050. I want to be part of this challenge by understanding all the key stakeholders in the sales cycle, from architects, M&E consultancies, contractors to the project wholesalers. I am bringing my cradle to the grave approach to selling to the role.”
The new Contractor Sales Managers will be headed by the recently promoted Tom Hemming. Tom has worked within the ventilation sector for 14 years, starting out as a Contractor Sales Manager, which gives him the advantage of fully understanding what is required to make a success of the role.
Tom has long been an advocate for the ventilation sector. He comments: “Most people don’t think about the quality of their indoor air, yet it touches everyday life. If you have a comfortable indoor climate with fresh air, people don’t notice until something goes wrong and their homes become too hot, or damp, or stale.
“Ventilation is an unsung hero in many ways and becoming all the more important as we begin to understand the wider implications of poor indoor air quality.”
With his new role as National Sales Manager, Tom is determined to get this message across to contractors and distributors.
Domus Ventilation has a well-deserved reputation for quality, supported by excellent technical support, from a market leading manufacturer and designer. It is well placed to offer immediate, practical solutions to Building Regulations Parts F & L.
