Premium bathroom manufacturer, Geberit, has teamed up with a global future trends agency to digitally publish its 2023 Trend Guide, revealing market insights, new products and bathroom interiors inspiration.
The bespoke annual report offers consumers insight, advice and inspiration bringing together real-world surveys, studies and research to deliver four key trends matched with products, styling tips and colour suggestions all driven by market insights. The findings cover current consumer habits from the home improvement and DIY trend, to the TikTok generation and Perma-crisis mode.
The opening look, Botanical Retreat speaks to the rise in maximalism, biophilic colour choices and new rituals. The perfect inspiration for lovers of plants, herbal remedies and bold colours and patterns, readers will find a wealth of inspirational imagery, accessory suggestions and mindfully styled bathrooms which bring the look to life.
Nordic Cleanse reflects on the self-care movement, this look is healing and restorative, a style sure to be booming for years to come. Geberit has paired this cool, refreshing look with contrasting all black brassware for a contemporary appeal. Dive deeper into this calming trend for at-home spa inspiration and creating a restorative space.
The following look, Reconnect, is a reaction to slow living, harnessing natural materials, such as clay and terracotta, and slow craft to inspire a warm Moroccan/Mediterranean style bathroom. Breezy and summery, Reconnect offers consumers ideas and inspirations for an earthy at-home retreat.
The final trend introduces Urban Sanctuary, a look which embraces the brutalist movement, mid-century modern style and dives deeper into urbanisation. Durability and performance are at the heart of this look, with innovative, design-lead products littered throughout.
Each trend will also feature some of Geberit’s newest products including new black finishes, the redesigned Sigma70 flushplate and the new additions to the Option illuminated mirror collection. New products also include the expansion of the popular Selnova range, new finishes for the Cleanline50 and upgrades to the Geberit Monolith Plus.
Sophie Weston, marketing manager at Geberit UK, says: “Consumers are becoming increasingly mindful to choose products that improve their quality of life which don’t just deliver practicality but contribute to their sense of wellbeing. Homes are more connected than ever and there is an onus on the bathroom space to become a sanctuary which enhances personal wellbeing.
“In addition, the rise of Pinterest and home décor accounts on Instagram have inspired consumers to get more involved with the design of their home and take bigger risks when it comes to the creative process. Now everyone is an interior designer for their own home.
“This report matches market-insight driven trends with innovative and mindfully designed products to deliver what the current consumer is looking for. Function and aesthetics have always been an ethos at the heart of Geberit.
“We are delighted to introduce the Geberit Trends Report 2023, produced in collaboration with leading future trend forecasters, TrendBible. We hope the publication will offer readers a host of inspiration and practical advice.”
