Catch the Latest Safeguard Europe Webinar: Which Wall Constructions Minimise Mould Risk?

  • 25 Oct 2024

On Wednesday 20th November at 1:00pm join Eric and Molly from the Safeguard Research & Development Team for a special webinar — ‘Which Wall Constructions Minimise Mould Risk?’.

The extreme variance in construction materials and methods, and the unpredictability of weather conditions, have historically made it difficult to predict the risk of mould growth on buildings.

Recent technological advances enable modern modelling software to accurately simulate seasonal heat and moisture transience in building materials. Taking into account everything from the moisture content of building materials to the effects of wind-driven rain and condensation, WUFI modelling software can predict the risk of environmental damage to a building.

WUFI is already in use around the world by designers, consultants and construction companies to ensure that buildings are designed, assessed and built in a way that ensures maximum heat retention.

In this webinar, the Safeguard R&D Team will share their findings on the most efficient ways to minimise mould risk in solid wall and cavity wall homes…

 – Get an in-depth introduction to WUFI modelling software.
 – Discover the damage that five years of weather exposure can do to unprotected plastered solid and cavity walls.
 – Learn how moisture absorption affects wall surface temperature.
 – Understand how the VTT model can predict mould growth on a variety of building materials.
 – See the positive thermal impact that various insulation measures and Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream can have on masonry walls.

The presentation will last 35 – 40 minutes and will be followed by a short Q&A session.

Sign up here for this free special webinar: ‘Which Wall Constructions Minimise Mould Risk?’ on Wednesday, November 20th at 1:00 PM.
