The Dryzone Express Replastering System, from Safeguard Europe, is a BBA-approved solution (Agrément Certificate 97/3363) that allows a complete post-DPC replastering cycle in a single working day under normal site conditions.
By pairing Dryshield Cream primer with Drygrip Adhesive and standard plasterboard, contractors can prime, board and skim within 24 hours while delivering a salt-resistant, breathable finish ready for decoration.
Rising damp treatment is only half the job. Housing providers and private owners want rooms back in use fast yet refuse to compromise on long-term protection. The Dryzone Express System delivers both speed and certainty.

Rapid, salt-resistant replastering
Dryshield Cream penetrates masonry and inhibits salt crystallisation (BBA Product Sheet confirms resistance to residual salts), creating a stable base for dot-and-dab board fixing. Because the primer remains breathable, moisture vapour dissipates rather than migrating to internal finishes, which Safeguard test data shows helps avoid the cold-bridge effect associated with dense sand-cement renders.
Drygrip Adhesive secures plasterboard directly to the treated wall in familiar dabs. Used with Dryzone System Positioning Plugs, it sets in typically 2 – 3 hours at 20 °C and 65 % RH. This is fast enough to accept a skim coat the same day, so a full schedule of rising damp treatment, boarding and finishing fits inside normal working hours.
A familiar workflow with the potential for savings
The Dryzone Express Replastering System is installed using the standard dot-and-dab method, so no special tools or wet plaster mixes are required. Estimations indicate that the process has a lower cost per square metre, due to the shorter cure times and therefore labour cost compared with sand-cement backing coats.
Independent BBA certified performance
The Dryzone Express components carry independent BBA certification that verifies resistance to residual moisture and salt contamination. The system integrates seamlessly with Dryrod or Dryzone remedial damp-proof courses, ensuring continuity of protection from the brickwork up to the finished surface.
3-step installation
1) Install Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rods or inject Dryzone Damp-Proofing Cream to form a new chemical DPC.
2) Prime the wall with Dryshield Cream and allow the surface to turn translucent.
3) Dot-and-dab plasterboard with Drygrip Adhesive, secure with positioning plugs and skim after initial set.
Once the wall is complete and ready for decoration, apply Dryzone Mould-Resistant Emulsion Paint to the finished surface for added peace of mind.
