Electrical infrastructure specialist and Independent Connections Provider (ICP) Sinewave has appointed Recycling Lives Services as its national waste management partner, supporting its expanding portfolio of EV charging and renewable energy projects across the UK.

Both organisations were recently recertified as B Corps, reflecting a shared focus on responsible business practices and supply-chain transparency.

Sinewave, featured in the 2025 Sunday Times 100 list of Britain’s fastest-growing private companies, is a rapidly expanding electrical infrastructure and renewable energy specialist. With headquarters in Swindon, the business maintains more than 2,500 sites across the UK and delivers EV infrastructure, grid connections, data centre and renewable energy projects nationwide.

With up to 100 projects active at any one time, Sinewave sought a waste partner capable of consistent delivery, rigorous compliance and transparent reporting. Managing waste across large energy infrastructure portfolios is becoming a growing operational challenge as EV and renewable deployment accelerates across the entire country.

Under the agreement, Recycling Lives will support Sinewave’s national infrastructure projects with skip hire and wider waste management services, including mixed construction waste, soils, grab lorry services and specialist streams where required.

The agreement introduces a single national waste framework supported by transparent pricing and a centralised digital reporting portal. Waste transfer notes and consignment documentation are uploaded automatically, enabling project-by-project reporting and site-level visibility of tonnage, carbon impact and compliance performance.

Sinewave maintains a strong focus on safety and sustainability. The company emphasises proactive risk mitigation, responsible handling of materials across its footprint and an ongoing commitment to improving environmental performance.

Recycling Lives Services’ operational capability

Recycling Lives Services brings significant operational capability to the partnership through its own national waste infrastructure, achieving 97% diversion from landfill, according to its latest sustainability report. Recycling Lives has also delivered a 61% reduction in operational CO₂ emissions and processed 12.5 million batteries for responsible recycling. In 2024, it generated £42.9 million in social value through its integrated model linking commercial waste management with rehabilitation and employment programmes.

Lucas Hargreaves, Projects Director at Recycling Lives Services, says: “We’re pleased to be supporting Sinewave as its infrastructure portfolio continues to grow across the UK. Our role is to make sure waste is managed safely, compliantly and consistently across all sites nationwide, with clear reporting and reliable service for project teams. As infrastructure programmes expand and compliance expectations increase, that kind of operational clarity and consistency becomes essential.”

Sinewave’s recent B Corp recertification reflects its continued focus on responsible growth, even as demand accelerates across EV infrastructure, renewables and data centre delivery. As project volumes expand, so does the importance of ensuring that waste streams are managed efficiently, diverted from landfill wherever possible, and captured accurately for reporting and regulatory compliance.

Head of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) at Sinewave, comments: “At Sinewave, safety and sustainability are central to how we work. Our clients expect us to deliver projects responsibly as well as efficiently.

“As our national portfolio grows in scale and complexity, introducing a centrally managed waste framework helps us maintain consistent standards across our sites. Partnering with RLS gives us national coverage, better visibility of how waste is being managed and the confidence that it’s managed responsibly, while supporting our commitment to work with suppliers who share our values.”

Recycling Lives Services

As EV infrastructure, renewable energy and data centre development accelerate across the UK, infrastructure operators are facing increasing expectations around digital waste tracking, ESG reporting and supply-chain transparency. Partnerships such as this one between Sinewave and Recycling Lives Services demonstrate how national infrastructure programmes can be supported by specialist waste frameworks that deliver both operational consistency and responsible environmental performance as the UK’s energy transition accelerates.
