BIM content from Harmer Drainage

  • 6 Feb 2015

By introducing Level 2 compliant BIM content, Harmer Drainage will meet Government requirements and be considered for future Government project work

The SML cast iron soil and waste pipework system, which has been certified by the British Board Agrément and meets the European Standard BS EN 877, is now BIM Level 2 compliant.

This means it can be used by construction workers and designers in the creation of BIM models. BIM models enable workers to view a building’s design with digital modelling.

Harmer Drainage aims to build its own online library of digital products with its newly introduced BIM content and objects.

With this aim in mind, it has made additional 3D BIM data objects available to download on its website.

The company’s floor and roof drainage products are currently compliant with BIM Level 1. Harmer hopes to upgrade them to Level 2 compliance by 2016 in order to meet the Government’s BIM requirements.
