Hydronic wet underfloor heating system offers quiet operation at church

The heating system was installed into a grooved insulation for the floor, which is finished off with a 20mm thick oak faced engineered board fixed to battens between underfloor heating pipework.

The church and its surrounding area underwent a significant transformation, with new gas fired boilers installed in a plant room formed in the first floor area over the coffee server and store, as well as a heating system being supplied for the offices, toilets and first floor meeting room.

The Victorian church’s previous heat source was an air space heating system installed around 25 years ago which became noisy and inefficient over the years, making worship difficult for parishioners.
