Fire panels from Advanced used to protect landmark buildings

Broadgate Estates collaborated with Advanced to replace and update the fire panels in its London landmark buildings

13 of Broadgate Estate’s buildings have been fitted with fire panels from Advanced Electronic’s MxPro multi-protocol range.

The range offers customers a choice of two panel ranges, MxPro 5 and MxPro 4, as well as four detector protocols.

The company’s AdSpecials division also offers a bespoke manufacturing service which gives customers the opportunity to order custom-built panels and control units.

Broadgate Estate’s buildings include 159 MxPro panels which have been connected with sounders, detectors and a variety of other peripheral devices that have been manufactured and supplied by Advanced’s partners, Hochiki and Apollo.

Whilst some of the buildings have been fitted with three-panel networks and others with over 60, every fire system is linked to the local Building Management System (BMS) and monitored from a central control room.

Advanced’s MxPro panels can be used in a single loop, single panel format. Alternatively, they can be configured into 200 panel networks that run at high spend and are able to cover huge areas.

The system is able to reveal partial short and partial open conditions for all possible loads which might otherwise remain concealed until a fire occurs.

Advanced’s MxPro fire panels are approved to EN54 Part 13, a standard that checks all transmission paths for loop, sounder and network loading.

Advanced worked closely with Broadgate Estate’s in-house team to carry out the installation of its fire panels.

Through its Advanced360 division, the company offer customer support and advice on the installation, specification and maintenance of its fire systems.
