Electromechanical team strengthened by ASSA ABLOY

Having worked for ASSA ABLOY for 11 years under its ASSA, UNION, Adams Rite and Trimec brands, Simon Wilson will be using his extensive experience to establish mechatronics as a core product for ASSA ABLOY and promoting CLIQ throughout the UK.

Prior to joining ASSA ABLOY, Simon held positions within technologies development for Sony UK and as a Sales Manager within Comet group.

In the last ten years, the electromechanical market has doubled and mechatronics is allowing master keying to be brought into the technological age.

CLIQ combines traditional locksmithing with modern IT; in his new role, Simon will work to develop CLIQ in a variety of different verticals and to show businesses how CLIQ can improve security without the associated cost and complexity.

Business Development

A relatively new member of the ASSA ABLOY team, Nick Bartlett has over 22 years experience in the security industry, including 12 years at Alpro Architectural Hardware and working as an access control manager at Aldridge Security.

Nick will be commercially and strategically promoting electromechanical products forward in his new position, actively identifying gaps in the UK market for future security and access control electronic products.

Nick said: “There is so much new technology making its way into the market, from biometrics, to near field communication technology and the potential has not yet been fully realised, so I’m excited to be working with a strong product team to drive innovation through electromechanical products.”
