Patrick McLoughlin MP paid a visit to the Grangemill mastic asphalt and hot melt factory with the company’s Managing Director, Andy Williamson
When Patrick McLoughlin, the Secretary of State for Transport, visited IKO’s new mastic asphalt and hot melt factory in Derbyshire, he was particularly impressed with the company’s reuse of disposed asphalt material.
The MP believes that IKO’s commitment to the environment and society is reflected in the new establishment.
The factory has been built to source raw materials from the local area and to support the surrounding community.
The factory, which is located at Grangemill Quarry, is IKO’s second manufacturing facility in Derbyshire with the first being located at Clay Cross in Chesterfield.
The Grangemill factory has also provided IKO with the additional space to work on new hot melt and mastic asphalt products, following the successes of its PermaTEC and Permaphalt.
