IKO’s Rubershield PRO EXTRA is part of the range that has been released to meet the new wind-uplift standard
The Rubershield breathable membranes, which have been designed for pitched roofs, are being released in February before the new legislation has been enforced.
The Rubershield ECO, ECO EXTRA, PRO and PRO EXTRA have all been BBA approved.
They offer options suitable for wind zones using a 345mm or 250mm batten gauge.
A wind-zone classification will be printed on the underlaying cover of the membranes.
The classification has been designed to show which zone each option is appropriate for. It also states the maximum recommended batten spacings.
IKO’s technical team are offering information on the new BS 5534 legislation for contractors with queries and questions.
