Solid surface materials made available as BIM objects

  • 5 Aug 2015

HI-MACS is a solid surface material, which is often used for interior products and architectural projects as external cladding.

HI-MACS surface materials are now available as BIM models

It offers a range of textures and colour patterns, allowing architects scope for creativity.

In addition, it can be used for 3D forming; its natural stone material, for example, can be shaped to suit a variety of internal and external applications, whilst simultaneously offering durability.

BIM-ready

Ahead of the Government’s BIM deadlines, HI-MACS’ shapes and colours have been made available in a digital format.

Designers can now download the products in BIM objects for CAD systems, such as Sketchup, Archicad and Revit.

By using BIM, designers and architects can ensure compliance, which will soon become mandatory for all public products.

HI-MACS’ BIM objects can also be found and downloaded via the BIMObjects Portal
