Held in Grimsby, industry professionals and housebuilders were informed of the zero carbon journey, its definition and cost of meeting the standard, as well as being updated on the performance gap project, which aims to close the gap between the design and as-built performance.
Saint-Gobain’s Sector Director for Residential, Stacey Temprell, finished off the presentation by introducing a range of product solutions designed to meet the UK government’s 2016 zero carbon target.
The event, which is the first of Zero Carbon Hub’s Low Energy Know How’ presentations for small housebuilders, highlighted the importance of improving the energy efficiency of new homes to reduce fuel bills and create more comfortable living environments.
A world leader in the habitat and construction markets, Saint-Gobain UK will continue to update housebuilders on the challenges facing the industry at future Low Energy’ events, whilst providing practical solutions for constructing zero carbon homes.
