The redecoration work was carried out after Kate’s Cottage won a makeover prize through a competition run by letting agency, cottages4you, with Dulux Trade Select Decorator, Iain Scott, working alongside interior designer, Gabrielle Blackman, to provide advice on the colour scheme.
Shades of Welsh Flint were chosen for the double bedroom and living room, whilst Morning Light was specified for the ceilings in each room to create a fresh and bright tone.
The brief was to create a contemporary interior that still retains its original design features and characteristics, with neutral tones being selected for the walls and ceiling to highlight the dark wood and antique furniture.
