Stroma’s new bundles were inspired by research from the Department of Energy and Climate Change, which showed that 69% of MCS firms would consider becoming Green Deal Installers.
The schemes work by assessing similar measures, such as solar PV, for both Microgeneration schemes and the Green Deal. These evaluations are done within the same assessment visit, saving the installer time and money as a second visit is not necessary.
The application process for the bundles is administered online. A form is provided for prospective installers to request the specific measures they want to be certified for.
This ensures that qualifying measures for MCS are also covered under the Green Deal.
Stroma Certification has also devised a website for its members to use. On it, they can find scheme documents and software download links, as well as a news feed. The website provides members with an Online Notification Tool to manage their Green Deal notifications.
Additionally, Stroma offer free technical support as part of its service. Its installer team is also available to guide customers through its installation process and support them throughout their membership.
