Icopal Monarfloor acoustic system tackles plasterboard resonance

  • 28 Nov 2014

Monarfloor ARS acoustic resilient membrane is designed to decrease plasterboard resonance

Suitable for use on any type of plasterboard, ARS has been proven to cause a significant decrease in board resonance, as well as improving sound insulation by around 2-3dB.

Solutions have been developed in the past to reduce the problem of plasterboard resonance and often involved installing two boards together, proving to be an expensive way to eradicate the issues.

With Monarfloor ARS however, a soft, self adhesive dampener is applied to the point of maximum vibration to improve the airborne sound insulation and get costs down and increase acoustic performance.
