Waste vinyl flooring recycling scheme shortlisted for award

  • 23 Apr 2015

Recofloor collectors can make disposal cost savings of up to 75%

The National Recycling Awards have been developed to celebrate the achievements of those in the recycling and resource management sector.

Success for Recofloor

Recofloor was founded by Polyflor and Altro in 2009; since then, it has collected over 2,200 tonnes of vinyl flooring waste.

This has all been diverted from landfill and recycled back into new flooring and traffic management products.

Having collected over 500 tonnes of vinyl flooring waste last year alone, the Recofloor scheme has grown considerably since its foundation.

Those involved in the scheme will find out if it has been successful in July, when the winners of the National Recycling Awards will be announced.

The ceremony is set to take place at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
