Swish Building Products range at Vision 2015

  • 12 May 2015

Visitors to Stand 12 will experience a heritage display showing the company’s PVC-U Tudor Board alongside a ball finial and bracing bar, a concave decorative roofline with traims, and a cast iron effect Ogee gutter system with unique down pipe castings.

Swish Building Products demonstrate that modern roofline, guttiering and cladding materials can work alongside tranditional design.

Alongside the traditional display, Swish’s exhibit will offer a closer look at the high volume guttering system, SuperDeep 170, designed to handle a much higher flow rate than standard guttering systems.

Enviromental improvement programme

This year, Swish Building Products has achieved ISO 50001 energy management certification at its manufacturing site in Tamworth.

The business has also retained BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing of Construction Products for the 4th consecutive year.

These awards follow another successful reduction in the company’s carbon footprint; the business now produces 32% less CO2 than it did in 2008. It also reduced it’s electricity consumption in 2014 by 5.8%, an overall improvement of 30.5% from 2008.

Since beginning its environmental improvement programme, Swish Building Products has saved 5,500,000 litres of water, making it 62% more efficient than in 2008 – down from 0.7 cubic metres of water per production tonne (normalised) to just 0.27.

The business has also made year on year improvements in recycling, in 2014 Swish Building Products recycled 1.54 tonnes of post-industrial waste.
