Timber fire doors prepared for new school term

  • 5 Aug 2015

The timber fire door manufacturer is also collaborating with a number of architects and contractors which are specifying the Education Range for new build and redevelopments in the future.

Current projects

Ahmarra’s projects include the full refurbishment of St Augustine’s academy in Maidstone and an innovative Low Carbon Building at the University of East Anglia.

The latter is thought to be one of the most energy efficient buildings in Europe.

Ahmarra is also manufacturing doors for the new £8m Science Centre at Abingdon School.

The Education Range

Ahmarra’s range of timber doors and glazed screens have been developed to suit school environments.

Schools, universities and other highly populated areas often have specific fire, acoustic and safety requirements, which the doors have been developed to adhere to.

The severe duty fire doors include ratings up to FD60 and up to 43 RwdB acoustic ratings and all materials are FSC certified.

The doorsets are made-to-order, tailored to meet the individual requirements of schools, colleges and universities.
