Lucideon has added a wind loading and uplifting assessment to its list of existing testing services
Using air controlled at different speeds, Lucideon’s new wind loading and uplift testing service enables products to be loaded under negative and positive pressures.
The new indoor electrical fan system allows products to be tested to programmes such as ETAG 005, ETAG 006, ETAG 017, ETAG 034 and EN 13830 as well as to CWCT Standards.
The testing rig, which is 6.2m high by 3.6 wide, is fitted with a control mechanism that can be programmed and a water spray system that has been designed to imitate wind-driven rain.
It is also able to measure multiple displacement readings.
