Gilberts’ ventilation louvres and dampeners were specified for Rolls Royce’s Raynesway site

Rolls Royce’s Raynesway site accommodates its core nuclear production capacity.

Gilberts was recently contracted to build and supply the products to ventilate one of the site’s manufacturing buildings.

Its WHK75 integrated louvres with VN75 dampeners were specified for installation.

The Blackpool-based company also supplied 163 no associated mounting frames to the £500 million project.

Ventilation louvres

Gilberts’ WHK75 louvres have been designed with a blade to deliver an enhanced weathering performance and high levels of ventilation.

With a 50% free area, the louvres ensure good air flow.

They enable air volumes of more than 1.5m3/s with a pressure drop of 20Pa.

The louvres were supplied in a variety of sizes, with the smallest measuring 11.6m x 4.7m and the largest being over 18m long.
