The roofing membranes have passed the necessary tests for the new BS5534 guideline, which outlines the code of practice for slating and tiling.
The new regulation sets requirements for resistance to wind uplift in pitched roofs.
These requirements are defined by various zones for wind exposure and different installation and site conditions.
Several of DuPont Tyvek’s breather membranes have been certified to the new code.
Its Supro membrane is one of them. This particular roofing membrane has been developed as an energy efficient solution to protect roofs against harsh weather conditions.
DuPont Tyvek Supro Plus has also qualified, along with DuPont Tyvek Enercor Roof, which is a metal version of the vapour-open roofing membrane that has been designed to increase a building’s thermal performance.
The membranes have been classified as suitable for use in pitched roof systems in all five of the categorised wind zones.
