As Product Manager, Malcolm will work exclusively on the company’s specialist systems, including: the REHAU Polytec 50S curtain walling system, the REHAU GENEO system and the ALU-TOP and REHAU NORDIC Design Plus systems.
Focusing on the commercial sector, Malcolm’s role involved working closely alongside REHAU’s commercial sales team to target and exploit new project sales opportunities. In addition, he will liaise with the technical and product development teams in the UK and Germany to ensure that they meet the UK and Ireland’s market needs.
Malcolm will support REHAU customers already manufacturing windows, doors and curtain walling in the specialist systems, in addition to building relationships with new customers who want to explore the opportunities REHAU offer in the commercial sector.
Commenting on his appointment, Malcolm said: The huge potential which exists for our specialist systems makes this a very exciting challenge.
We have already shown that we can challenge aluminium in virtually every commercial application not just on thermal performance but increasingly on aesthetics too, and now REHAU is investing in the resources we need to increase awareness, generate sales enquiries and enhance our offering.
The latest evidence of this is the fact that REHAU Polytec 50S has recently been submitted for testing and has achieved approval from the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT).
The system achieved excellent results for wind resistance and water penetration using the standard test methods for building envelopes including the dynamic aero engine assessment, and now has the accreditation required to compete for many more commercial new build projects.
