As new members of the Passivhaus Trust and with a number of Passivhaus certified products in its portfolio, REHAU’s latest seminar demonstrate its ongoing commitment to the concept and its practical application in the construction sector.
More than 70 delegates were at the seminar from across the Midlands and South West with a healthy mix of architects, engineers and clients attending. The response exceeded all expectations with 13 delegates booking spaces within five minutes of the event going live on the REHAU website.
As well as giving an introduction and overview of Passivhaus technology and its place in the UK construction market, REHAU’s commercial sales managers also delivered product specific presentations on its Passivhaus certified products.
Steve Tonkiss outlined REHAU’s Passivhaus certified window, door and curtain walling systems REHAU GENEO and REHAU Polytec 50s, while Charlie Ward focused on the REHAU AWADUKT Thermo GAHE earth tubes system.
Jonathan Platt from gcp Chartered Architects: With the consultancy arm of our business operating primarily in the Passivhaus sector, I was very interested to see the products which REHAU were showcasing and to learn about their newer developments addressing the issue of health and well-being in a controlled domestic environment as created in a Passivhaus building. With so many delegates attending from across the region, the event was also an excellent networking opportunity and a very useful chance to build relationships with other organisations like REHAU which are actively working in this area.
REHAU is planning another similar seminar in the North West later in the year and will be exhibiting at the Passivhaus Conference in London on 20 October.
Further details will be available on the REHAU website via the link below.
