WRAS is the industry standard for UK approved water fittings that are compliant with the UK plumbing regulations.
All products are approved by UK Water Suppliers using the performance requirements set out by the Secretary of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
Climate control Market Manager for Pegler Yorkshire, Sindar Singh, commented: We are delighted to be the first manufacturer in the UK to gain WRAS approval on our complete Heat Interface Units.
Gaining WRAS for our Meibes range of HIUs demonstrates our commitment to provide high quality products and solutions to the UK plumbing and heating industry.
The Meibes range of HIUs are designed to meet the requirements of UK systems and applications and promote high engineering and reliability.
All contain a patented Proportional Modulating valve that prioritises the requirement for domestic hot water over heating, similar to a combi-boiler.
Meibes HIUs operate on a ‘no demand no flow’ basis which minimises the demand on the main network, reduces energy consumption and ensures the apartment is not over heated.
The HIU range benefits from a comprehensive selection of models comprising; Indirect, Direct and Indirect for Cylinder Systems. This ensures they can be used with a wide range of configurations to suit a variety of applications.
In addition, they benefit from additional features such as fix rails for faster installation, heat meters for accurate measurement of heat energy use and data extraction.
Jason Furnival, Approvals & Enquiries Manager commented: WRAS Approval is the best way to demonstrate compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations or Scottish Byelaws as it is granted directly by representatives of the water suppliers and is therefore accepted by every water supplier in the UK.
The latest Builders Merchant Building Index (BMBI) report shows builders’ merchants’ value sales in October were up +1.2% compared to the same month last year.
