New acoustic baffle systems introduced by SAS International

  • 29 Apr 2015

Continuing the latest series of product innovations, the new systems feature standardised module sizes and carrier profiles.

System 500 and System 510 now offer more installation options and enable continuous runs.

High performance design

The new Acoustic Baffle Systems have been developed for acoustic treatment in open, exposed interiors and thermal mass cooling.

System 500 and 510 are well suited in areas with high human traffic, including retail, leisure, and education facilities

Offering a visually engaging design, System 500 and System 510 allow for a different ceiling aesthetic in comparison to traditional suspended ceilings.

Dual-sided perforations deliver high-quality acoustic performance (0.85 ?w, NRC 0.9), especially in noisy surroundings where additional absorption is required.

Both updated systems are available in all RAL colours and can be suspended at a variety of heights and angles.

The waveform of System 510 is a stark contrast to the linear form of System 500, allowing the baffles to form individual elements or continual rhythmic lines across a ceiling plane.

Easy integration

The enhanced Acoustic Baffle Systems offer easy integration with other ceiling systems and the ability to visually zone areas, making both systems suitable for commercial spaces.

In addition, neither System 500 nor System 510 impede smoke extraction or air ventilation systems.

Solar shading can also be achieved using SAS baffles, making the new systems ideal for areas where the management of the solar glare as well as acoustics is required, such as large open areas like malls or atriums.
