UK Trade and Investment is working with the Mayor of London to put on ‘Winning Business – The Future of Smart Cities and Urban Innovation’

The one-day event is being organised by the Mayor of London in partnership with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

It has been designed to give companies the opportunity to hear about new developments in urban planning and infrastructure design.

The event will allow attendees to participate in live web seminars with market specialists, connect with industry experts and network with other like-minded companies.

Climate change and, resource security and other global issues have created the need for cities to be more economically and environmentally efficient. In other terms, they need to be made “smart”.

Integrated urban solutions have emerged as a global market and it is estimated that the new industry will be worth around £250 billion by 2020.

‘Winning Business – The Future of Smart Cities and Urban Innovation’ can be attended by small or medium sized enterprises (SMEs) that are based in one of London’s boroughs.

The companies must have less than 250 employees, an annual turnover of less than £40 million and little or no exporting experience.

Only one delegate per company is eligible to attend.

The event will be hosted at Greater London Authority Headquarters (City Hall). It will commence at 8am on 6th March and finish at 8pm on the same day.
