Polyflor’s safety vinyl flooring, Polysafe Wood FX PUR, was fitted to help give the care home a homely feel
The safety vinyl flooring was recently specified for installation at Winchcombe Place, a care home offering residential, nursing and dementia care.
The care home, which is located in Newbury in Berkshire, has 80 bedrooms with specialist furniture and ornate vintage displays.
It was designed to make residents feel at ease.
With its warm wooden tones, Polyflor’s Polysafe Wood FX PUR safety vinyl flooring was specified in the shade European Oak 3347 to add to the creation of an inviting and welcoming environment.
The flooring was fitted throughout the facility in its reception area, dining room and hair salon.
Polysafe Wood FX PUR has been designed as safety vinyl flooring for use in commercial care environments.
The product is a sheet vinyl flooring which has been developed with wet slip-resistance to reduce the risk of accidents. It achieved 36 on the Pendulum Wet Test and it has been classified as low slip potential.
The safety vinyl flooring provides slip-resistance and traction for underfoot safety to ensure the safety of the residents
The vinyl also includes invisible aggregates to provide traction for underfoot safety without affecting the overall look of the floor.
Its safety properties make it suitable for installation in commercial environments, such as Winchcombe Place care home.
The flooring has also been reinforced with PUR polyurethane, which is cross-linked and UV cured to allow for easy cleaning and maintenance.
