Campo Grande-based Prática Engenharia Ltda selected Emperor cable cleats for installation on Petrobras’ new P-66 FPSO (floating production storage offloading) vessel which is being built in Brazil for use in the development of pre-salt projects in the Santos basin.
Tony Conroy, export director for Ellis: Our market is growing increasingly competitive, but it is extremely reassuring to still regularly be winning contracts of this magnitude as a result of product quality and the tried, tested and trusted reputation Ellis enjoys across the world.
The P-66 FPSO is the first of eight vessels being built by the company. When complete it will have a processing capacity of 150,000 barrels per day of oil and six million cubic metres per day of natural gas.
Tony Conroy: We are delighted with the work Polar did in securing this specification and we look forward to working even more closely over the forthcoming months to secure orders of a similar nature for the remaining seven vessels.
