Celotex CW4000 insulation produces excellent thermal efficiency

  • 7 Nov 2014

The insulation reduces the need for heating, cuts carbon emissions and energy costs

Celotex CW4000 insulation of a 100mm thick consistency was chosen for the cavity wall, offering a lightweight and easy to fit solution that can reduce heating requirements, carbon emissions and energy costs.

Made from PIR with low emissivity foil facings to reflect radiant heat, CW4000 is available in a range of thicknesses from 25mm to 100mm and provides improved thermal insulation performance within cavity air spaces.

Celotex’s CW4000 boards made installation on the steel frame with masonry infill structure simple and quick, with each boards being slotted between the brick and block cavity wall after being cut to size and then secured into place using cavity tie clips.

Specifically designed for use in partial cavity wall installations, CW4000 achieves an excellent lambda of 0.022W/mK and can deliver 100% more thermal efficiency than the majority of mineral fibre products.

Following independent testing from BRE Global, Celotex CW4000 has been confirmed as having a low environmental impact through its BRE Approved Environmental Profile, as well as carrying an A Rating when compared to the BRE Green Guide.

The work was carried out by main contractor R.G. Carter and designed by Archial for Bebergh District Council in order to improve community facilities in the local area.
