Passive fire protection seminars from BM TRADA

  • 11 Feb 2015

BM TRADA has announced the latest dates for its seminar on passive fire protection and the RRFSO legislation

BM TRADA has created the seminars as it believes it is important for those who adopt the role of the ‘Responsible Person’ under RRFSO to fully understand what is required of them.

The seminar sessions, which are delivered by an experienced panel, provide an introduction to the RRFSO legislation.

The sessions also explain why it is essential to get passive fire protection right.

At the seminars, the panel explain why it is important that those installing, assessing, specifying and maintaining passive fire protection measures do their job correctly. They teach delegates about the costs and consequences of getting it wrong.

The seminar also explains the role of the enforcing officer and how third party certification can help them.

After attending the seminar, attendees will gain access to ‘The Responsible Person’ e-learning course from the Fire Protection Association. This has been included free of charge to enable them to continue learning in their own time.

BM TRADA’s latest seminars are scheduled to take place on 22nd April at the Building Centre in London, 14th July at the University of Leeds and 8th September at the University of Birmingham.

They are being held in a variety of locations that can be accessed by delegates from across the UK.

A range of representatives from BM TRADA, Association for the Specialist Fire Protection, the Fire Protection Association and Chief Fire Officers Association make up the panel of experts that run the programme.

The half-day seminar sessions are free to attend.
