  • 20 Feb 2015

BM TRADA is encouraging engineers and designers to book a place on one of its popular timber frame training courses

The timber frame training courses will be delivered by members of BM TRADA’s frameCHECK team, who regularly pay visits to sites where they assist in solving problems.

The courses, which will take place at the company’s headquarters in High Wycombe, will focuses on timber frame construction from an engineering perspective.

This approach has been taken to help engineers gain an understanding of how timber frame systems work.

The courses will enable delegates to look at methods of timber frame construction, the principles of timber engineering and design examples.

They will also be educated on the different standards that apply to timber frame construction.

The timber frame courses will also cover air tightness, fire safety, cladding, acoustic performance and cladding.

With recent research showing that timber frame housing is continuing to grow, BM TRADA is expecting all the dates for its timber frame training courses to be fully booked.

Therefore, the company advises engineers and designers to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
