All of Abloys handle-controlled locks feature its new energy saving technology.
The new low-energy variants can be identified by the use of the letter L within the name of the product.
Abloys Low Energy Electric Locks have proven to be more energy efficient than door magnets, which require an electric current to lock the door.
Dissimilarly, electric locks use power to open the door; this means that they do not consume as much energy.
Magnets are also unable to provide for mechanical security and escape.
Electrical locks, on the other hand, offer a high security solution whilst adhering to all relevant British and European standards.
Abloys new locks have been developed as eco-friendly solutions that are fast and easy to install.
With the ability to be used in conjunction with traditional devices, the locks only use energy when the lock status is changed.
They also hold a wide voltage range and a variety of usage possibilities.
