The Maxilift 2.0 passenger lift was specified by the Director of Ford Associates Chartered Quantity Surveyors, David Ford.
It was installed to provide YO! Sushi’s customers with a more convenient access to the first-floor restaurant from the ground-floor entrance.
The installation was completed on a budget and to a deadline.
Stannah’s team took a total of 8 days to install the elevator system
The Maxilift can hold up to 8 people and its motor room-less (MRL) capability allows for the machine room to be located remotely.
This makes the lift economical in its immediate space requirement.
The passenger lift was delivered with a split ram and reduced guides as on-site installation access was limited.
The lift’s 2 panel landing doors were finished in satin stainless steel and decorated with vinyl graphics to compliment the restaurant’s interior.
The inside of the lift was finished in silver grey vinyl skin plate.
It was then fitted with a mirror, a handrail and PVC ‘black sparkle’ flooring, which is non-slip.
With the addition of the lift, YO! Sushi meets the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 as it caters for those in wheelchairs and those with low mobility.
The Scotland branch of Stannah Lift Services intends to offer its service and support to the restaurant by providing continued lift maintenance.
