RonaFloor Epoxy DPM and Quick Drying RonaScreed used at library

RonaFloor Epoxy DPM and Quick Drying RonaScreed were used to produce a robust surface

Ronacrete Approved Contractor CCS Drywall Ltd installed over 250 square metres of RonaFloor Epoxy DPM in the library area, whilst kiln-dried sand was scattered into the surface of the second coat and RonaScreed 4 Day Overlay Quick Drying Screed was bonded to the cured DPM with a Ronafix and Portland cement slurry primer.

The project’s contractors specified RonaScreed due to its quick drying abilities, allowing workers to return to the site earlier and apply floor finishes whilst preventing a long delay in waiting for the product to dry and strengthen.

RonaFloor Epoxy DPM is a surface damp proof membrane designed to reduce water vapour permeability and can be used prior to the application of a Ronacrete bonded screed such as RonaScreed 4 Day Overlay Quick Drying Screed to reduce the length of a construction programme.

The reduction in drying time of RonaScreed allows screeds to be laid later in the construction programme, reducing the risk of damage and allowing a project to be completed on time and to a high standard.

The use of the screed meant that the whole renovation project was completed in just six months at a cost of andpound;1.4 million.

First opened in 1890, the Streatham based library retains original features such as a barrelled ceiling with a large skylight, whilst a community space for staging art exhibitions, theatre productions and other events has also been introduced.
