Howarth Timber Engineered Solutions has purchased a factory in Gloucester, with the aim of increasing its operations in the South West of England.

With the acquisition of a fourth factory, Howarth Timber Engineered Solutions is able to extend its influence in the South West.

The site, which belonged to Paul Timber Engineering, a Gloucester supplier of Boise I Joist, metal web floor joists and roof trusses, will sit alongside Howarth’s existing factories in Suffolk, East Yorkshire and the North East.

Extending timber operations

Howarth purchased the site with the intention of extending its operations in the South West of England. The company works to provide a complete timber engineering service, from consultation, through to design, manufacture, delivery and installation.

Paul Timber Engineering’s team has operated from the factory since 2003, boasting a wealth of experience, which will be beneficial to Howarth.

The company intends to double the size of the existing factory, whilst expanding the design office and installing additional saws and presses.
