Boom in building industry Trade Shows helps win new business

Timber Expo Buyers Specifiers Forum

We are undoubtedly moving into better economic times but this too brings challenges. Skill shortages are creating problems. London alone needs 1300 new skilled construction workers every year. So should we take this opportunity to train our young people or just rely on importing skills from overseas?

Also, with an infrastructure renaissance underway in the UK, find out why it is a great time for civil engineering graduates.

Last month house building was 37% of the total value of construction contracts but Britain’s biggest and most profitable housebuilders now want to build on Green Belt. Is this a good idea? Use this Twitter link to comment.

Industry Trade Shows are a great opportunity to win new business especially as the economy expands. A good example is the Buyers & Specifiers Forum at Timber Expo which was great success last year. Follow the link for details and to find out why Barrett plc are using this the Forum at the show in October.

We also have details about why the Build Show has been rescheduled to autumn 2015 to avoid the construction peak for shows in the spring.
